MOTU MOIE MAINTENANCE BUILDINGS

Motu Moie Maintenance buildings include equipment, machinery and supplies necessary for the upkeep of the island. The maintenance garage contains a work bench, table saw, drill press, and various hand and machine tools for repairs and maintenance. The building roof extends over one side to cover the tractor. Solar power supplies electricity to all buildings, and there is a back-up generator for increased power during construction or in emergency. When motu were formed millions of years ago, rain water was trapped in the coral that make up the motu, and floats on top of the sea water. The water well pumps this coral filtered water up to the tower, and gravity supplies the water to each bungalow.
